The Banyumala Waterfall is also know as Twin Falls, as there are two beautiful waterfalls side by side. But there are actually more to see in the little valley. The area is not very large but there is yet another beautiful waterfall if you turn your back to the main attraction. What makes the Banyumala Twin Falls even more attractive, is the fact that you can swim in the lake below the waterfall, and even go and stand in the stream of water from above. The water is fairly cold however, but with the Balinese heat, this is actually very nice.
The walk from the car park is about 500 meters. Most of the walk is easy, but there is a part with quite steeps steps. In the valley there is a toilet and two changing rooms – they are nothing fancy, but they are functional.

How to get here?
There are many waterfalls in northern Bali. You will need to get a taxi or a driver to get here. I recommend getting a personal driver for the entire day. That way you have a place to store your belongings, and if you are lucky, he/she will double as a guide or photographer. This is not very expensive in Bali.
You can book a personal driver on GetYourGuide (sponsored link) in advance.
Where to stay?
Banyumala is about two hours from Ubud, which is a great place to visit and provides plenty of nice hotels. There are many things to see in between. You could also look for a place to stay on the north coast, if you wish to be near the ocean.
