Munduk Waterfall or Air Terjun Munduk as it as called locally, is one of the smaller waterfalls and also one of the cheaper ones to visit. It is very close to Banyumala Waterfall or Twin Falls, so if you are already here, you may want to consider swinging by Munduk – on the other hand, if you are short on time, you wont miss much by skipping the Munduk Waterfall.

You can park right by the entrance and walk down the stairs. To the left there is a little café, and to the right there is a bushy arch that marks the entrance to Munduk. The entrance fee is only around 0,5 €, and the walk down is not very long. Once down, you will be very close to the 15 meter waterfall, that pours into a little pool. You can get in the water if you like, or you can cross the river using the bamboo bridge. The valley itself is also very beautiful, and can be very quiet if you visit outside peak season.

Besides the Munduk Waterfall or Red Coral Munduk Waterfall as it is also reffered to, there are some decent hiking opportunities in the area. If you choose to hike from here, you can also visit, Golden Valley Waterfall, Labuhan Kebo Waterfall and Melanting Waterfall.

How to get here?

There are many waterfalls in northern Bali. You will need to get a taxi or a driver to get here, or get hiking if you are already in the area. I recommend getting a personal driver for the entire day. That way you have a place to store your belongings, and if you are lucky, he/she will double as a guide or photographer. This is not very expensive in Bali.

You can book a personal driver on GetYourGuide (sponsored link) in advance.

Where to stay?

Munduk is about two hours from Ubud, which is a great place to visit and provides plenty of nice hotels. There are many things to see in between. You could also look for a place to stay on the north coast, if you wish to be near the ocean.
