Sekumpul Waterfall is one of the larger waterfall attractions. The area is also reffered to as Lemukih. It is way more expensive that the “wild” waterfalls, but the waterfalls here are a lot bigger, prettier and the service provided is also more extensive. Personally, we chose Sekumpul as an alternative to Aling-aling, after reading negative reviews. Our guide suggested Sekumpul as well, and we very much enjoyed it.
They had three different experiences to choose from, the largest being a three hour tour including a slide for the price of 18 €. We went with a 12 € tour of 2 hours showing us two waterfalls: Sekumpul and Fiji. I think we got a little extra from the guide, but the tour was great. They rode us on scooters down a narrow path to the trail head. It was a little scary, but they had it under control and the view to one side was quite something.

Not before long we made it to the top of a steep staircase and walked down the path from there. Along the way, the guide told us about the coffee plants, cloves and the rice terraces, before we arrived at a small hut, where we would change into flip-flops and swimming clothes. The walk continued through the stream of water for a bit, and then we arrived in beautiful valley of vertical cliff walls lush and green from all the hanging plants. In the middle was the incredible 95 meters tall Sekumpul Waterfall. Here we had a nice and cold swim, before moving on to another waterfall.
The guide took us to the second waterfall, Fiji, and a small shower-like waterfall on the way there. Once more we could swim in the waterfalls surrounded by vertical green rock walls and running water. By the end we hiked back up the stairs, which was quite a though hike and extremely hot. Even our guide was a little sweaty and out of breath, though still wearing flip-flops. Unfortunately, the 2 hour tour did not include any slides or cliff jumping. The tour ended up taking about 2,5 hours

How to get here?
There are many waterfalls in northern Bali. You will need to get a taxi or a driver to get here, or get hiking if you are already in the area. I recommend getting a personal driver for the entire day. That way you have a place to store your belongings, and if you are lucky, he/she will double as a guide or photographer. This is not very expensive in Bali.
You can book a personal driver on GetYourGuide (sponsored link) in advance.
Where to stay?
Sekumpul/lemukih is about two and a half hours from Ubud, which is a great place to visit and provides plenty of nice hotels. There are many things to see in between. You could also look for a place to stay on the north coast, if you wish to be near the ocean.
