Bali Part 3 – Mount Batur Volcano and Snorkeling in Amed
For our last few days in Bali, we went to see the rice terraces in Tegallalang, hiked up the volcano Mt Batur to watch the sunset, and drove north to the paradise diving town Amed. It was incredible place to be, and I finally got to see a sea turtle up close.

Bali Part 2 – Ubud And Ghost Palace
Ubud is a pure Bali paradise. As a relaxing retreat you will love all the yoga, spa, infinity pools, sustainability and beautiful nature. We went to swim in a bunch of picture perfect waterfalls and went urban exploring at the abandoned hotel "Ghost Palace".

Sekumpul Waterfall (Lemukih)
Sekumpul Waterfall is one of the larger waterfall attractions, and the waterfalls in the Lemukih area is incredibly beautiful. You will need to pay an entrance fee, but you do also get excellent guide service here. You can pick from different tours, and it is possible to both swim, jump and slide. You will need to hike up and down a steep trail and walk through water, but the walk is not very far and totally worth the trouble. You can change into swimming clothes there.

Apéritif – Cheap fine dining in Bali
Apéritif is a cheap fine dining restaurant in the area of Ubud with the nicest hotels - those with helipads and everything. They serve Michelin-like quality food and provide excellent service in a beautiful restaurant. As the prices in Bali are generally very cheap, you can get a high end dining experience for as little as 150 €.

Campuhan Ridge Walk
Campuhan Ridge Walk is a beautiful and very accessible hiking trail with it's trail head very close to the center of Ubud. The hike is about 3,7 km out and back with an elevation of just 110 meters. The path is paved with large tiles, and you can walk it in either direction, and arrange for a ride to take you home from either end of the trail. It can however get very hot and humid in Ubud and the hike provides very little shade, so do bring plenty of water and consider going early in the day.
