Canada Place is located by the waterfront of downtown Vancouver. Walking out on the wharf provides a great view of downtown Vancouver to the south, Stanley Park to the west, and North Vancouver, the shipyard and the distant mountains across the water to the north. The place itself is lovely and a quiet place with fresh air. While hosting various events from time to time, you might encounter some interesting happenings along with the continuos flow of seaplanes landing and taking off on the water and occasionally the cruise ships leaving for Alaska.

Canada Place is actually a building, and it is home to the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, The FlyOver Canada  and Vancouver World Trade Centre. The building’s exterior is covered by fabric roofs resembling sails which looks pretty cool. What is interesting is the surrounding area.

When I was there in 2015 I visited this place twice and came by again next year. I enjoyed the view very much, while also shooting loads of photos of seaplanes, birds and the general area.
